論。依諸凡夫取著轉深　述曰。次下別釋。於中有五。一約人辨麁。二出其麁體。三明執所緣。四制立其名。五明識所依。此初也。簡非二乘所起意識。以前智識及相續識通在二乘地前所起故。今約凡顯其麁也。以彼凡夫無對治故。追著妄境轉極麁顯故言取著轉深也。

Treatise: Relying on ordinary beings, grasping becomes increasingly deep.
Commentary: Next below is the specific explanation. In this there are five parts: 1. discerning the coarse aspect in terms of persons; 2. bringing out its coarse essence; 3. clarifying the focal object of attachment; 4. establishing its name; 5. clarifying what the consciousness relies upon. This is the first. It distinguishes it from the mental consciousness arisen in the two vehicles, because the previous knowledge consciousness and continuing consciousness generally arise in the two vehicles prior to the bhūmi stages; now, it shows its coarseness in terms of ordinary beings. Because those ordinary beings have no counteractive remedies, their pursuit and clinging to deluded realms becomes extremely coarse and prominent; therefore it says that grasping becomes increasingly deep.
