論。六者根本至能離故　述曰。即五意中第一業識依本無明而心起動為餘念本名根本業。能污淨心亦名為染。依於第十菩薩盡地發金剛定斷細念習得入佛地。細念都盡其心常住。故言依菩薩盡地等。

The treatise says: "Sixth is the fundamental […] because of being able to abandon it." Dankuang explains: This is the first, the karmic consciousness, among the five kinds of consciousness (manas). Relying on fundamental avidyā, the mind stirs and becomes the root of remaining thoughts, which is called "fundamental karma." Being able to dirty the pure mind is also called "defilement." Relying on the tenth, the culminating stage of bodhisattvas, one arouses the adamantine samādhi, severs subtle habituations of thought, and is able to enter the Buddha stage. Subtle thoughts are completely exhausted and the mind is constantly abiding; therefore it says: "relying on the culminating stage of bodhisattvas," and so on.
