論。所言義者則有三種　述曰。前釋法竟。次下釋義。於中有二。先辨大義。後顯乘義。前中亦二。先標。後釋。此初標也。

[Treatise:] That which is called "meaning" has three kinds. [Exposition:] The preceding explanation of the Dharma is concluded. Next below is the explanation of meaning. Within it there are two parts: first, distinguishing the meaning of "great"; second, revealing the meaning of "vehicle." The first also has two parts: first, stating; second, explaining. This is the initial stating.
