[Treatise:] "Furthermore, ultimate [freedom means that all dharmas have no distinct attributes that can be spoken of...]" [Commentary:] Next, the second part reveals ultimate freedom. Within this there are two: first, clarifying what can be done in terms of the dharmas; second, harmonizing the marks to resolve hidden doubts. In the first there are also two: first, a general revelation in terms of dharmas; second, citing the extensive to seek by analogy. This is the first. Previously, the path of subduing was clarified: subduing and removing erroneous attachments was called the antidote. Now the path of eradication is clarified: being forever free from deluded attachments is called ultimate freedom. Comprehensively citing the conditions of attachment reveals the absence of self-nature; because that which is grasped does not exist, that which grasps does not arise. When the mind has nothing upon which to rely, it is spontaneously liberated; therefore it says "ultimate freedom from deluded attachments," and so forth.
