2.35

論。是近遠二緣至受道緣　述曰。此開解行也。謂前近遠二緣之中各開順行受道二緣令其修習自分所。故名增行緣。增長行故。令其修習勝進行故名受道緣。進上道故。

[Treatise:] These two conditions, proximate and distant […] conditions for receiving the path.
[Exposition:] This unfolds understanding and practice. That is, within each of the aforementioned two conditions, proximate and distant, are unfolded the two conditions of advancing practice and receiving the path, causing them to cultivate their own portion; therefore, they are named "conditions for augmenting practice," because they augment practice. Causing them to cultivate superior advancing practice is named "conditions for receiving the path," because they advance toward the higher path.
