[Treatise:] Furthermore, what ordinary beings see ... is called the transformation body.
[Exposition:] Next, the second [part] re-takes up and differentiates [the bodies]. In this there are two: first, the transformation [body]; next, the enjoyment [body]. This is the first. Previously, in explaining the enjoyment body, it was spoken of generally in reliance upon what ordinary beings and the lesser [vehicle] see. Now, wishing to distinguish ordinary beings and set apart the lesser [vehicle], what is seen is set forth again to reveal the transformation body. The two vehicles see the Buddha as the body of a noble person; what ordinary beings see varies across the six destinies. None of these are supramundane marks; they are identical with the truth of suffering. Therefore, they are called "marks not of receiving bliss." Because the fruition does not correspond to the [true] cause, it is spoken of as "transformation."
