2.89

論。眾生亦爾至心實不動　述曰。此法合也。推求動念已滅未生中無所住。無所住故則無有起。故知心性實不動也。

[Treatise:] Sentient beings are also like this ... the mind does not actually move.
[Exposition:] This is the application to the doctrine. Investigating the moving thought, among that which has ceased and that which has not yet arisen there is nowhere it abides. Because it has nowhere it abides, it does not arise. Therefore, one knows that the nature of mind does not actually move.
