[Treatise:] Yet there is deluded mind ... because it has the meaning of radiant light.
[Exposition:] Next below, it reveals virtues by contrast with defilement. In this, there are two parts: first, clarifying the distinct characteristics of virtues by contrasting with defilement; second, clarifying that it is endowed with all virtues by contrasting with defilement. In the first, revealing the previous six meanings of virtue is divided into six. This is the first, the meaning of the light of wisdom of original awakening. That is, all deluded minds, in non-awakening, give rise to thoughts and perceive various objects, so generally speaking, [this is] avidyā. The mind-nature does not arise; therefore, it is said to have the meaning of radiant wisdom-light.
