[Treatise:] The dependent retribution of their dwelling ... neither ruined nor lost.
[Exposition:] This reveals the dependent retribution. 'Dependent fruit' refers to the land that is dwelt in. Because the primary retribution that depends upon it has no bounds, the dependent fruit in which they dwell has immeasurable ponds, terraces, pavilions, seven treasures, and hundreds of jewels. Whether persons or things, various adornments differ from the bounded forms of transformation lands; manifested according to what is delighted in, they are boundless. All pervade the dharmadhātu, mutually interfused without obstruction, hence inexhaustible and free from the characteristic of boundaries. Conforming to whatever characteristics are induced by their karmic practices, what responds to them is ever-abiding, and thus unlike transformation lands, it is not ruined by the emergence of the three calamities nor lost by evil persons.
