This Dharma gate of the Sudden Teaching of the Great Vehicle is because all sentient beings originally possess the Buddha-nature. The written words and spoken teachings of the thousands of sūtras and ten thousand treatises, of both the Great and Lesser Vehicles, merely point to the original nature of sentient beings to directly accomplish the Buddha path. This dharma is also called returning to the source, also called reflecting back, also called reversing the flow, also called dedication (pariṇāmanā), also called non-arising (anutpāda), also called unblemished (anāsrava), also called non-origination, and also called dharma free from seeing, hearing, perceiving, and knowing.
