若於是義於是等者。義謂境義即是起行。所依道理境界之處。如修念佛三昧之行。必有所依佛功德境。故境即是起行之處。善根乃是所起之行。

Regarding "if regarding this object, regarding this, etc.": "object" means the objective domain, which is where practice arises, the locus of principle and domain upon which practice relies. For example, in cultivating the practice of the buddha-mindfulness samādhi, there must be the domain of the Buddha's qualities upon which one relies. Therefore, the object is the place where practice arises, and the roots of goodness are the practices that are given rise to.
