若修諸行發起勇捍者。唯識論云。勇表勝進簡諸染法。捍表精淳簡淨無記。即顯精進唯善性攝。
Regarding "arousing courage and resoluteness when cultivating all practices": the Cheng weishi lun says: "Courage expresses superior advancement, excluding all defiled dharmas; resoluteness expresses purity and genuineness, excluding the unhindered-neutral. This reveals that effort is subsumed solely under the wholesome nature."
