Regarding 'Yet because it is revealed by the two emptinesses of self and phenomena,' etc.: This means that the principle of tathatā is the objective sphere traversed by supreme wisdom; hence it is called ultimate. It is not the objective sphere of the two graspings at self and phenomena; therefore, only where the two graspings at self and phenomena are empty is the ultimate truth of tathatā revealed. Since it is revealed by the lack of nature of the two graspings at self and phenomena, it takes its name from the two emptinesses that reveal it, and is called 'non-nature'. If so, one should say 'non-nature ultimate'; why then say 'ultimate non-nature'? Answer: Since the ultimate is revealed through non-nature, the ultimate is devoid of the two natures of self and phenomena; therefore it can be called 'ultimate non-nature'.
