Regarding 'Speaking with concealed marks in accordance with what is suitable for those being transformed': That is to say, according to the real principle, all dharmas are neither empty nor non-empty, because all dharmas possess the three natures and are inseparable from them. However, in the Āgama sūtras, in accordance with the fact that those being transformed were suited to hear of non-emptiness, the Buddha concealed the empty mark of the imagined nature and spoke of the existence of dharmas by leaning toward the dependent and consummate natures. In the Mahāprajñāpāramitā-sūtra, in accordance with the fact that those being transformed were suited to hear of non-existence, the Buddha concealed the existent marks of the dependent and consummate natures and spoke of the emptiness of all dharmas by leaning toward the imagined nature. Therefore, both are called speaking with concealed marks.
