1.37

而能增長一切等者。謂能增長一切善者。由修習時究竟安住堪忍也。此中唯舉修行一種。花嚴經中則有數義。謂於一切諸善根所修行安住趣入攝受積集辦具悟解開示發起之時堪忍力。

"And able to increase all..." and so forth: "able to increase all goods" means being capable of patient endurance through ultimate dwelling at the time of cultivation. Here only the single [item of] practice is mentioned; in the Avataṃsaka-sūtra, there are several meanings: that is, the power of patient endurance at the times of practicing, dwelling, entering, gathering, accumulating, preparing, realizing, expounding, and initiating in regard to all roots of goodness.
