金光明經第十云。汝等能於如是經王。虔誠流布。乃至於我般涅槃後。不令散滅。即是無上菩提正因。法華經第三云。若聲聞辟支佛。及諸菩薩。信是十六菩薩所說經法。受持不毀者。是人皆當得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。如來之慧。法華經第四偈云。
The Suvarṇaprabhāsa Sūtra, fascicle ten, states: 'If you are able to sincerely propagate such a king of sūtras, so that even after my parinirvāṇa it is not allowed to scatter and perish, this is the correct cause of supreme bodhi.' The Saddharmapuṇḍarīka Sūtra, fascicle three, states: 'If śrāvakas, pratyekabuddhas, and bodhisattvas believe the scriptural Dharma spoken by these sixteen bodhisattvas, and uphold it without reviling it, all these people will attain anuttarāsamyaksaṃbodhi and the wisdom of the Tathāgata.' The Saddharmapuṇḍarīka Sūtra, fascicle four, in verse states:
