欲知何處苦偏多　惟有泥犁更莫過
罪人一入逕塵劫　受苦從頭無奈何
渴飲融銅登劍樹　飢飡猛火渡灰河
願離此苦生安樂　求生淨土見彌陀

If you wish to know where suffering is greatest,
It is only in Niraya, nowhere beyond it.
Once sinners enter, they pass through dust-mote kalpas;
Enduring suffering from beginning to end, entirely helpless.
Thirsty, they drink molten bronze and climb trees of swords;
Hungry, they devour raging fire and cross the River of Ashes.
I vow to leave this suffering and be born in Bliss;
Aspiring to be born in the Pure Land to behold Amitābha.
