五濁眾生難共語　十惡凡夫異種癡
貪愛眼前財色利　不覺此身霜露危
無常殺鬼臨頭上　忽被他將誰得知
不肯今時專念佛　臨終翻悔欲何為

Sentient beings of the five defilements are hard to reason with; / Ordinary beings of the ten unwholesome actions are uniquely foolish. / Greedily clinging to the momentary gains of wealth and beauty, / They fail to notice this body's peril, fragile as frost and dew. / The killing demon of impermanence descends upon their heads; / Suddenly taken away by him, who could have known? / Unwilling in the present time to recite the Buddha's name with devotion, / Regretting at the brink of death, what can be done?
