The western Pure Land is exceedingly exquisite: / Jeweled ponds, jeweled shores, and jeweled golden sand. / Sounds of heavenly music constantly fill the realm; / Jeweled channels, jeweled leaves, and jeweled lotus flowers. / Twelve yojanas across, all perfectly square; / Enclosed by jeweled nets, jeweled webs, and jeweled balustrades. / Streams of virtuous water flow around jeweled trees; / Hearing the waves and seeing the music, one realizes serene joy. / A message sent to fellow practitioners with karmic affinity: / Exert your efforts, overturn delusion, and return to your original home.
