善男子。讀持是經者。即能消除無量生死煩惱重惡之罪。聞是經名。即得聞佛。見是經者。即得見佛。持是經者。即持佛身。行是經者。即行佛事。說是經者。即說佛事。解是經者。即解佛義。若行佛事。善解佛義。如此之人。永無煩惱。何以故。得值是經。斷除煩惱。

Good man, one who reads and upholds this sūtra can eradicate the heavy and evil sins of immeasurable births, deaths, and defilements. Hearing the name of this sūtra is immediately to hear the Buddha. Seeing this sūtra is immediately to see the Buddha. Upholding this sūtra is immediately to uphold the body of the Buddha. Practicing this sūtra is immediately to practice the Buddha's deeds. Preaching this sūtra is immediately to preach the Buddha's deeds. Understanding this sūtra is immediately to understand the Buddha's meaning. If one practices the Buddha's deeds and well understands the Buddha's meaning, such a person will be forever free from defilements. Why is this? Having encountered this sūtra, they sever defilements.
