"Good son, there are furthermore four dharmas by which one skillfully seeks the Dharma-jewel. What are the four? First, conceiving the thought of a treasure regarding the Great Dharma because it is difficult to obtain; second, conceiving the thought of a curative medicine regarding the Great Dharma because it cures the illnesses of sentient beings; third, conceiving the thought of wealth and benefit regarding the Great Dharma because it is never lost; fourth, conceiving the thought of extinguishing suffering regarding the Great Dharma because it leads to nirvāṇa.
