2.41

Good man, if eighty thousand kalpas are taken as one day, thirty such days as one month, and twelve months as one year, and through such a count of years one passes hundred thousands of millions of kalpas to encounter a single Buddha, and again passes such a number to encounter a single Buddha, this sūtra is harder to encounter even than that. To encounter this sūtra is to encounter all the Buddhas of the ten directions and the three times. Therefore, the wise accept, uphold, read, recite, copy, and explain it; it can eradicate false views, ignorance, defilements, fetters, outflows, and heavy sins. Abiding in the field of merit, they can consume immeasurable worldly offerings."
