On the twentieth day of the eleventh month in the tenth year of Kaihuang, the female lay devotee Dong Xianfei bows with folded hands to all the Three Jewels of the ten directions. Now she reverently produces this single copy of the sūtra for her deceased husband Zeng Ya to circulate and offer, wishing that her deceased husband may bathe in this wholesome cause, his wandering soul roaming in the pure land, beholding all Buddhas face to face, forever transcending the three evil paths, eternally leaping over the eight difficulties, his ears tasting the Dharma voice, his mind awakening to wisdom and tolerance, universally together with all six destinies proceeding toward bodhi.
