佛告迦葉：「猶如有人設百味食，粳米、豆、麥、大小麻子，當其所得得粳米者，不知有餘豆麥之屬。迦葉！此亦如是，識、想、受法各各不同，觀諸法性無異無別。」

The Buddha told Kāśyapa: "Just as if someone set out a hundred flavors of food—non-glutinous rice, beans, wheat, and large and small hemp seeds—when a person gets the non-glutinous rice, he does not know that there are other kinds such as beans and wheat. Kāśyapa! This is also like that: the dharmas of consciousness, ideation, and sensation are each different, yet when contemplating the nature of all dharmas, there is no variance and no distinction."
