眼淨菩薩白佛言：「色性久敗，現滅不住、過去不現，此世後世永盡無餘，故曰無餘涅槃。」
The Bodhisattva Eye of Purity addressed the Buddha: 'The nature of form has long been ruined: the present ceases and does not abide, the past is not present, and this life and future lives are eternally and utterly extinguished without remainder; hence it is called nirvāṇa without remainder.'
