4.49

爾時，世尊告常笑菩薩：「汝所問義，皆是如來威神所感，欲成就諸法，不斷前後如來實性。何以故？如來法性不可獲持，亦非羅漢、辟支佛所知。」

At that time the Bhagavat told Nityahasita Bodhisattva: 'The meaning you have asked about is entirely evoked by the Tathāgata's spiritual power, wishing to bring all dharmas to completion, without severing the Tathāgata's true nature before and after. Why is this? The Tathāgata's dharmatā cannot be seized or held, nor is it known by arhats or pratyekabuddhas.'
