"Or there are bodhisattvas who enter the samādhi of equanimity, pervading the north throughout infinite, immeasurable, asankhyeya realms, equal to the sands of the Ganges, toward the categories of sentient beings, fearing that those sentient beings may have defective practices, nurturing and protecting them so they do not sink; taking one grain of sand from the sands of the Ganges, passing lands equal to the sands of the Ganges, and depositing one grain, in this way exhausting the sands of the Ganges, their mind of equanimity is not exhausted. These are all the firm vows of the bodhisattva, immediately accomplishing the unsurpassed Path within the womb.
