'Furthermore, a bodhisattva-mahāsattva in dhyāna concentration, collecting his mind, enters the fire-element samādhi, causing this trichiliocosm to blaze into fire. Deluded sentient beings think the bodhisattva is burned by the fire kalpa and flee in all four directions, yet they are not separated from the fire's light, which is pure and free of heat. This is called the bodhisattva-mahāsattva entering the fire-light samādhi. The spiritual power of this samādhi is difficult to fathom, nor can arhats or pratyekabuddhas investigate it to the end.
