爾時，世尊告諸大眾：「汝當諦聽！我為汝說過去、未來、現在諸佛名字。若善男子、善女人受持讀誦諸佛名者，是人現世安隱，遠離諸難及消滅諸罪，未來當得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提。若善男子、善女人欲消滅諸罪，當淨洗浴著新淨衣，長跪合掌，而作是言：

At that time, the Bhagavat addressed the great assembly: "Listen attentively! I shall explain to you the names of the Buddhas of the past, future, and present. If a kulaputra or a kuladuhitṛ upholds, recites, and intones the names of these Buddhas, that person will be secure in this present life, stay far away from all hardships, eliminate all sins, and in the future attain anuttarā samyaksambodhiḥ. If a kulaputra or a kuladuhitṛ wishes to eliminate all sins, they should wash and bathe purely, put on fresh, clean clothes, kneel on both knees with palms joined, and speak these words:
