「願弟子等，承是懺悔五蓋等諸煩惱所生功德，願生生世世度五道、樹五根、淨五眼、成五分。
"May we disciples, by relying on the merit generated from performing this kṣamā for the kleśas such as the five hindrances, in life after life deliver [beings of] the five destinies, plant the five roots, purify the five eyes, and accomplish the five divisions [of the dharmakāya].
