三十六王遙見寶達菩薩，悉皆叉手合掌，前行作禮白言：「大智尊王！云何因緣入此苦處？亦如栴檀在伊蘭而生。」
Catching sight of Bodhisattva Baoda from afar, all thirty-six kings clasped their hands with palms joined, stepped forward, bowed in homage, and said: "Venerable King of Great Wisdom! By what cause and condition have you entered this place of suffering? It is just like a candana tree growing amidst eraṇḍa plants."
