19.1

爾時，佛告舍利弗：「舉要言之，現在諸佛說不可盡。舍利弗！譬如東方恒河沙世界，南方恒河沙世界，西方恒河沙世界，北方恒河沙世界，上下四維恒河沙世界，彼一切世界下至水際、上至有頂滿中微塵。舍利弗！於意云何？彼如是微塵可知數不？」

At that time, the Buddha said to Śāriputra: "To state the essential: the presently existing Buddhas cannot be completely spoken of. Śāriputra! Suppose there are worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges in the east, worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges in the south, worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges in the west, worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges in the north, and worlds as numerous as the sands of the Ganges in the zenith, the nadir, and the four intermediate directions; and suppose all those worlds, down to the water limit and up to the pinnacle of existence, are filled with fine dust motes. Śāriputra! What do you think? Could the number of such dust motes be known?"
