19.56

佛告舍利弗：「諦聽！諦聽！當為汝說。舍利弗！過去九十一劫有佛，名毘婆尸如來。過去三十劫有佛，名尸棄如來。彼劫中復有毘舍浮如來，自此以後無量無邊劫空過無佛。至賢劫中有四佛：拘留孫佛、拘那含牟尼佛、迦葉佛，我釋迦牟尼佛。

The Buddha told Śāriputra: "Listen attentively! Listen attentively! I shall speak for you. Śāriputra, ninety-one kalpas in the past, there was a Buddha named Vipaśyin Tathāgata. Thirty kalpas in the past, there was a Buddha named Śikhin Tathāgata. In that kalpa, there was also Viśvabhū Tathāgata. From then on, through immeasurable and boundless kalpas, time passed empty without a Buddha. Coming to the Bhadrakalpa, there are four Buddhas: Krakucchanda Buddha, Kanakamuni Buddha, Kāśyapa Buddha, and myself, Śākyamuni Buddha.
