30.162

佛告憍陳如：「愛有三種，所謂欲愛、色愛、無色愛。何者欲愛？欲名放逸，放逸因緣則生貪觸，以觸因緣則生樂想，如是等法眾生樂著，欲心發動如火所燒，欲因緣故，樂造十惡、捨離十善。以是因緣墮於地獄、畜生、餓鬼，生貧窮夜叉中。

The Buddha addressed Kauṇḍinya: “There are three kinds of craving: namely, sensual craving, form craving, and formless craving. What is sensual craving? Desire is called heedlessness. Due to heedlessness, lustful touch arises; due to touch, the notion of pleasure arises. Sentient beings delight in and cling to such dharmas; when the desiring mind is aroused, it is like being burned by fire. Conditioned by desire, they take pleasure in committing the ten unwholesome actions and abandoning the ten wholesome actions. Conditioned by this, they fall into hell, the animal realm, and the hungry ghost realm, or are born among impoverished yakṣas.
