At that time, the Buddha said to Śāriputra: “You must listen attentively with the utmost sincerity; I will explain it for you. Śāriputra, passing east from this world beyond a hundred thousand kotis of worlds, there is a Buddha-world named Dīpaṃkara. In that world there is a Buddha named Ratnasaṃcaya, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha, who is presently preaching the Dharma. Śāriputra, if a kulaputra or kuladuhitṛ hears that Buddha’s name and with utmost sincerity upholds and remembers it, this kulaputra or kuladuhitṛ will ultimately attain the samādhi of the seven factors of enlightenment, attain an irreversible mind toward anuttarā samyaksambodhiḥ, and transcend the world by sixty kalpas.”
