"Śāriputra! In those many worlds, on which worlds would that person place a dust mote, and on which worlds would he not place a dust mote? Whether a dust mote was placed on them or not, all those worlds, down to the water limit and up to the pinnacle of existence, [are reduced to dust]. Śāriputra! Suppose there is a second person who takes those dust motes; for every such number of dust motes, there are that many buddha lands—asaṃkhyeyas of hundreds of thousands of myriads of nayutas of worlds—and passing that many worlds counts as a single step. Śāriputra! That person again passes worlds as numerous as that number of dust motes as a single step, and that person journeys for hundreds of thousands of myriads of nayutas of asaṃkhyeya kalpas before depositing one mote, and in this manner exhausts all those dust motes. Śāriputra! All those worlds, whether a dust mote was deposited or not, are filled with dust motes, and these are again placed across the worlds of the ten directions. Śāriputra! Further passing beyond these worlds, whether a dust mote was deposited or not, all those worlds, down to the water limit and up to the pinnacle of existence, are filled with fine dust motes.
