"Śāriputra, going past another twenty thousand Buddha-realms, there is a Buddha-world named Prabhā. The Buddha is named Anantamalaviraja Buddha, Arhat, Samyaksambuddha, who is presently teaching the Dharma. If a kulaputra or kuladuhitṛ hears that Buddha's name, single-mindedly has faith in and accepts it, upholds it, recites it, and reverently bows down—even if someone were to give in charity the seven precious substances filling a trichiliocosm, compared to the merit of hearing this Vimalabuddha's name, upholding it, and reciting it, it would not equal a thousand-tenth-thousandth part, nor even a calculable fraction. Why is this? If sentient beings have slight and meager roots of goodness, they cannot hear this Vimalabuddha's name. If there is a kulaputra or kuladuhitṛ who hears the name of Anantavigatamaraja Tathāgata, this person has not planted roots of goodness under only one Buddha, nor under a thousand Buddhas; this person has planted roots of goodness under hundreds of thousands of tens of thousands of Buddhas. This person will transcend forty-eight kalpas of worldly existence.
