1.62

息者是風，與外風無異，地、水、火、空亦復如是！是五大因緣合故生識，識亦如是，非我有也！五陰、十二入、十八持亦復如是！如是知之，逐息入息出，是以名隨。

"Breath is wind, not different from external wind; earth, water, fire, and space are also like this! Because the causes and conditions of these five great elements combine, consciousness is produced; consciousness is also like this, not belonging to me! The five aggregates, twelve sense bases, and eighteen elements are also like this! Knowing it in this way, one pursues the breath as it enters and the breath as it exits; therefore it is named 'following.'"
