2.102

是事一心實信不動，是名信根。一心精懃求道，是名精進根。一心念不忘失，是名念根。心住一處亦不馳散，是名定根。思惟分別無常等覺，是名慧根。是名增長得力，是名五力。

Single-minded, genuine, and unwavering faith in this matter is called the faculty of faith. Single-minded, diligent striving for the path is called the faculty of vīrya. Single-minded mindfulness without forgetting is called the faculty of mindfulness. The mind abiding in one place without running about or scattering is called the faculty of concentration. Reflecting on and discerning impermanence and so forth with awakening is called the faculty of wisdom. When these increase and gain strength, they are called the five powers.
