佛告阿難：「汝好持是淨身口意調伏威儀擯惡鬼法，為得增長四部弟子——使不起亂念、得入三昧——當好受持，慎莫忘失。」

The Buddha said to Ānanda: "You must carefully uphold this method of purifying body, speech, and mind, subduing comportment, and expelling evil ghosts. For the sake of enabling the disciples of the four divisions to grow—causing them not to give rise to distracted thoughts and to attain entry into samādhi—you should properly receive and uphold it; be careful not to forget or lose it."
