"As for the contemplation of washing the mind: first, observe one's own mind, causing it gradually to brighten like a fire jewel—the four hundred and four channels like vaiḍūrya, with golden plantains reaching directly beside the mind. The fire jewel emits vapor that is neither cold nor hot, neither coarse nor fine, used to perfume the channels. Visualize a Brahmā king holding a maṇi mirror, illuminating the practitioner's chest. At that time, the practitioner observes their own chest as like the cintāmaṇi king, bright, pure, and delightful, with the fire jewel as the mind. In the palm of the Great Brahmā King is a wheel-turning seal; within the wheel-turning seal is a white lotus flower; upon the white lotus flower is a divine youth holding up milk in his hands, which emerges from the cintāmaṇi king to irrigate the channels. The milk gradually descends to the tip of the heart. The youth holds two needles in his hands—one golden-colored, the second blue-green—and places two golden flowers on both sides of the heart, piercing it with the needles. After seven piercings, the heart returns to being supple.
