「是時帝釋坐善法堂，燒眾名香發大誓願：『般若波羅蜜是大明呪、是無上呪、無等等呪，審實不虛，我持此法當成佛道，令阿修羅自然退散。』作是語時，於虛空中有四刀輪，帝釋功德故自然而下，當阿修羅上時，阿修羅耳鼻手足一時盡落，令大海水赤如絳汁。

"At that time, Śakra sat in the Hall of Good Dharma, burned numerous famous incenses, and made a great vow: 'Prajñāpāramitā is the great spell, the unexcelled spell, the unequaled spell. It is true, real, and not false. By upholding this teaching I shall achieve the Buddha Path; may the asuras spontaneously retreat and scatter!' As he spoke these words, four blade-wheels appeared in the sky, spontaneously descending due to Śakra's merit. When they struck above the asura, the asura's ears, nose, hands, and feet fell off all at once, turning the water of the great ocean as red as crimson juice.
