1.37

佛告父王：「若有眾生欲念佛者、欲觀佛者、欲見佛者、分別相好者、識佛光明者、知佛身內者、學觀佛心者、學觀佛頂者、學觀佛足下千輻相輪者、欲知佛生時相者、欲知佛納妃時者、欲知佛出家時者、欲知佛苦行時者、欲知佛降魔時者、欲知佛得阿耨多羅三藐三菩提時者、欲知如來轉法輪時相者、欲知如來寶馬藏相者、欲知如來昇忉利天為母摩耶夫人說法時相者、欲知如來下忉利天時相者、欲知如來行住坐臥四威儀中光明相者、欲知如來詣拘尸那降度力士相者、欲知如來伏曠野鬼神毛孔光明相者。」

The Buddha addressed his father, the king: "If there are sentient beings who wish to be mindful of the Buddha, wish to contemplate the Buddha, wish to see the Buddha, wish to discern the primary and secondary marks, wish to perceive the Buddha's light, wish to know the interior of the Buddha's body, wish to learn to contemplate the Buddha's mind, wish to learn to contemplate the Buddha's crown, wish to learn to contemplate the thousand-spoked wheel marks beneath the Buddha's feet, wish to know the marks at the time of the Buddha's birth, wish to know the time the Buddha took a consort, wish to know the time of the Buddha's renunciation, wish to know the time of the Buddha's austerities, wish to know the time of the Buddha's subduing of Māra, wish to know the time the Buddha attained anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhi, wish to know the marks when the Tathāgata turned the wheel of Dharma, wish to know the mark of the Tathāgata's precious horse-sheath organ, wish to know the marks when the Tathāgata ascended to the Trāyastriṃśa Heaven to preach the Dharma for his mother, Lady Māyā, wish to know the marks when the Tathāgata descended from the Trāyastriṃśa Heaven, wish to know the marks of light in the Tathāgata's four postures of walking, standing, sitting, and lying down, wish to know the marks when the Tathāgata went to Kuśinagara to tame and deliver the Mallas, or wish to know the marks of the light from his pores when the Tathāgata subdued the wilderness spirits."
