10.41

「復次阿難！譬如劫欲盡時二日竝出，山林樹木河池枯涸；三日出時，眾色火起；四日出時，大海消減三分留一；五日出時，大海竭盡；六日出時，須彌崩倒；七日出時，大地烔然乃至色界，唯金剛山不可摧破還住本際。念佛三昧亦復如是，行是定者，住過去佛實際海中。」

"Furthermore, Ānanda! For example, when the kalpa is about to end, two suns appear together, and the mountains, forests, trees, rivers, and ponds dry up; when three suns appear, multi-colored fires blaze; when four suns appear, the great ocean diminishes, leaving only one part in three; when five suns appear, the great ocean is completely exhausted; when six suns appear, Mount Sumeru collapses; when seven suns appear, the great earth blazes with fire, reaching up to the form realm, and only the Vajra Mountain cannot be broken, remaining in its primordial state. The buddhānusmṛti-samādhi is also like this: one who practices this concentration abides within the ocean of the true reality of the past Buddhas."
