「魔復更念：『如此軍眾或不能淹降伏瞿曇。』復脫寶冠持擬地下，其冠光明逕至下方，當閻羅王化人宮上，高聲大呼告勅諸鬼：『汝等獄卒及閻羅王，阿鼻地獄刀輪劍戟、火車鑪炭，一切都舉向閻浮提，欲滅瞿曇擲置其中。』

Māra thought again: “An army such as this still might not be able to subdue Gautama.” He then removed his jeweled crown and pointed it toward the subterranean earth. The radiance of the crown reached directly to the regions below, above the palace of the apparitional beings of Yamarāja, and he shouted loudly, commanding all the ghosts: “You hell-wardens and Yamarāja! Lift up all the wheel-knives, swords, halberds, fire-chariots, and charcoal braziers of the Avīci hell toward Jambudvīpa; I wish to destroy Gautama and hurl him into their midst!”
