6.39

「佛告大王：『爾時和上者今我身是！阿闍梨者今羅睺羅是！王子比丘此老母是！徒眾弟子，今日邪見女等，發菩提心者是！』佛說此時，舍衛城中二萬優婆塞，發菩提心得念佛定，常於定中見佛說法。」

"The Buddha told the Great King: 'The upādhyāya at that time was none other than myself! The ācārya was none other than Rāhula! The prince-monk was this old woman! The followers and disciples were these women of wrong views today who have now given rise to bodhicitta!' When the Buddha said this, twenty thousand upāsakas in the city of Śrāvastī gave rise to bodhicitta and attained the samādhi of mindfulness of the Buddha (buddhānusmṛti-samādhi), constantly seeing the Buddha preaching the Dharma while in samādhi."
