作是語已，淨飯王等一切大眾白佛言：「世尊！云何名為慈心三昧，惟願世尊為我略說。」
When he had spoken these words, King Śuddhodana and all the great assembly said to the Buddha: "Bhagavat! What is called the samādhi of the benevolent mind? We only pray that the Bhagavat will briefly explain it for us."
