7.24

「爾時龍王長跪合掌勸請世尊：『唯願如來常住此間，佛若不在，我發惡心無由得成阿耨多羅三藐三菩提，唯願如來留神垂念常在於此。』慇懃三請如是不止。

"Then the nāga king knelt long with joined palms, entreating the Bhagavat: 'I pray only that the Tathāgata will permanently abide here. If the Buddha is not here, I will give rise to evil thoughts, and there will be no way for me to attain anuttarā samyaksaṃbodhi. I pray only that the Tathāgata will keep his spirit here and show consideration by permanently remaining here.' Earnestly he requested this three times, continuing without cease.
