8.11

「說是語已，作十八變飛至試場。時阿那律踊身空中，化萬梵王作諸梵宮，比丘處中作十八變飛至試場。羅睺羅、難陀！時二比丘踊身空中化作寶樓，比丘處中入深禪定，作十八變飛至試場。如是千二百五十比丘各現異變，亦作十八種神通飛至試場。

“Having spoken these words, he performed the eighteen miraculous feats and flew to the debate grounds. At that time, Aniruddha leaped into the air, transformed into ten thousand Brahmā kings and made various Brahmā palaces; the monk remained in their midst, performed the eighteen miraculous feats, and flew to the debate grounds. Rāhula and Nanda—these two monks leaped into the air, transformed into a jeweled mansion, remained in its midst, entered deep dhyāna concentration, performed the eighteen miraculous feats, and flew to the debate grounds. In this way, the one thousand two hundred and fifty monks each manifested distinctive transformations and likewise performed the eighteen kinds of supernormal powers, flying to the debate grounds.”
