時四如來！各申右手摩阿難頂告言：「法王子！汝持佛語廣為未來諸眾生說。」三說此已各放光明還歸本國。
Then the four Tathāgatas each stretched out his right hand, stroked Ānanda's crown, and addressed him: "Prince of the Dharma! Uphold the Buddha's words and expound them widely for all sentient beings of the future." Having spoken this three times, each emitted light and returned to his own land.
